Esport and cryptoconferencing streaming app Theta has confirmed a partnership with Google and announced Google Cloud as an enterprise validator and start partner for Theta mainnet 2.0. The Enterprise Validator program also includes the leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance, the Japanese partner company Gumi Cryptos and the venture capital fund Blockchain Ventures. Enterprise validators validate transactions across the Theta network.The announcement coincides with the launch of Theta Mainnet 2.0, which is also scheduled for May 27.
Google supports Theta’s cloud infrastructure
Google has also been announced as Theta’s preferred cloud provider. As of May 27th, Theta users can deploy and run nodes directly from the Google Cloud Marketplace.Allen Day, a developer lawyer for Google Cloud, said that distributed ledger technology (DLT) “enables new business models that may change the global digital economy, including the media and entertainment industries.””We look forward to participating as a corporate validator and providing the Google Cloud infrastructure to support Theta’s long-term mission and future growth,” added Day.
